PCDA has directly influenced the addition
of over 1,800 new jobs in Ponca City since 2004 with an
average annual pay of $41,520, according to Oklahoma
State University. |

PCDA built 3 industrial facilities in the
Ponca City Airport Industrial Park for commercial
tenants employing 125 people. |

ACHIEVEMENTS |
 |
Implemented Poncaworks, a multi-pronged program to
generate econovation and entrepreneurship in Ponca City. Econovation,
or the creation and implementation of an innovative economy within a
community, is being stimulated through new and existing business
grants, a resume bank for existing workforce, and local “Quality
Job” incentives for new and expanding businesses. |

Creation of the Ponca City Retail Task
Force in conjunction with the Ponca City Chamber of
Commerce. |

Received the highest award presented by
the International Economic Development Council for the
Oklahoma State University Multi-Spectral Lab project. |
 |
Named the “Best Business Expansion and
Retention Program of 2008” by Business Expansion and
Retention International. |
 |
Developed an economic development
strategic plan, with updates, a geographic information
system and a business tracking software system that have
become the model for economic development organizations
across the state of Oklahoma. |

Funded the first and now annual Oklahoma
State University local economic report and forecast. |

Created the first and now annual “Ponca
City World Famous, Highly Acclaimed Economic Development
Conferences.” |

Developed an annual Ponca City
demographic report. |

ECONOMIC RESPONSIVENESS |

PCDA has taken an active lead in
recruiting additional tenants to purchase the Tyson Food
Processing facility in the Ponca City Airport Industrial
Park, in addition to recruiting businesses and
organizations utilizing highly skilled technical labor
displaced by ConocoPhillips relocations. |

BUSINESS RECRUITMENT |

Ponca City Development Authority has
recruited numerous new businesses to the Ponca City
community including Custom Mechanical Equipment, Quarter
Turn Resources, the Oklahoma State University
Multi-Spectral Laboratory, Host Analytics and
Continental Technologies, as well as facilitated the
expansion of companies including SGS-FTS Technical
Services, Encompass Tool, Precision Tool and Die, and
Pioneer Equipment Rental and Supply. |
