Lana Elaine Brewer, daughter of Doyle and Nancy Brewer,
is a freshman student at Oklahoma State University. In high school she
was named the Outstanding sophomore girl, Outstanding junior girl, and
was a student council representative and officer. She was a DECA member,
officer and project participant, National Honor Society member, Freshman
mentor, and Renaissance Leadership team member. She won a DAR Good
Citizen award, Student of Today award, Clarence Burg Achievement Award
for pianists, and was an Oklahoma Academic scholar. She served as
coordinator of student blood drives and was a donor, and was a Habitat
for Humanity volunteer. A member of the Superintendent's honor roll for
four years, she is currently attending the Honor's College at OSU.
The Miss Ponca City Queen Contest was held on September
29, 2007 at The Poncan Theatre. The winner of the contest will represent
Ponca City as a Visiting Queen in the Arkalalah, Arkansas City's annual
Fall Festival, slated for October 25-27. Miss Ponca City also acts as a
goodwill ambassador, attends various functions and speaking engagements
as her personal schedule allows.
