Peachtree Landing Offers Shelter, Food
The specific mission of Peachtree Landing is to offer temporary emergency
shelter and food and make the necessary referrals to other .social services to
answer the immediate needs of homeless families and individuals while helping
them to become self sufficient.
Admission to the shelter is limited to homeless families and individuals who
have an immediate need for shelter and no reasonable means for obtaining
permanent housing.
The emergency shelter is in operation 365 days a year.
Other programs offered by Peachtree Landing are life skills classes and
transitional living apartments, which are available for families making the
transition from homeless to independent living.
Peachtree Landing is governed by a 15-member volunteer board of directors.
Funding is through the Ponca City United Way, state and federal grants, private
foundations, local churches and community contributions.
