Lake Ponca Park is located a half block East of Pauline's Restaurant,
on L.A. Cann Drive (the main road coming into the Lake Ponca Recreation
Area).
This
area features play areas for youngsters, duck ponds and covered shelter
houses suitable for large group gatherings. Restrooms are located on
site.
The shelters are equipped with wood burning fire places, electrical
outlets, lights, stationary tables and benches.
Water and a large charcoaler are located close to each shelter.
Reservations are required for Shelters and may be made up to one year in
advance.
Usage Guidelines
All shelters are
equipped with electrical outlets and fireplaces.
Firewood is subject to
availability.
The park will be
subject to any Governor ordered "ban on burning".
3.2 beer is allowed in cans (NO
GLASS) for those of legal
age.
Glass bottles or
containers are not allowed in the park area.
You may arrive no
earlier than 20 minutes before beginning of reservation and must leave
promptly at the end of scheduled reservation.
Center tables are
not to be removed from
shelter houses at any time.
Shelter's are reserved in two blocks of time:
8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
or
4:00 p.m. -10:00 p.m.
Park is
closed from: Nov 1-Jan 31
for Holiday Light Display

Please have respect for fellow users in other shelter houses, as they
have paid for reservations also.
Please leave the shelter and
surrounding area as clean as you found it.
Please take your receipt with you.
Monies are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Reservation to be paid at least 5 working days after initial request in
order to confirm requested date.

Youth Fishing Ponds
Fishing is restricted to children age 15 and under. |
From US Highway 60 Turn North on US 177 (14th Street) to Lake
Road, Turn east to LA Cann Drive and follow this approximately half a mile.
