Searching
The poncacity.com calendar system will allow you to perform searches to locate the events which are of interest to you.

You may choose to search the event title, description, location, contact name or any combination of the four. When selecting which items to search, keep in mind you are searching for events which match the search criteria in any of the items. This is called an "OR" search where the search criteria may be present in one item, but not in another.

You may narrow your search to a particular time period by adjusting the from and to dates accordingly.

When entering your search criteria, the search function will search for the complete phrase you enter. It will not search for individual words you enter. Please also note that the search will return partial matches, such as:
"for" will return events with forest, fortune, fortitude, etc.

Once the search is complete, you will be presented with the date, time, and event title of the matching events. From there you may click on an event to display it's details.

Subscribing
Subscribing to the calendar system is a great way for you to receive notification of new event postings so that you can stay informed. You may choose to subscribe to any of the calendars shown in the list by simply checking the box next to the calendar title. Please keep in mind that subscribing to a calendar does not automatically send you email reminders for events on the calendar, you only receive notification for new events. If you wish to have a reminder sent to you for a specific event, you will need to set a reminder for that event.

myDates - Events
By clicking the "Manage Events" link in the myDates admin panel you will be presented with a list of your current events, broken down by month.

You may move from month to month by clicking the << link to go backwards, or the >> link to go forward by a month.

Each event listed will have 2 links next to it. One to edit the event, and one to delete the event.

In order to add an event, click the "Add event" button at the top of the list. Clicking this button will take you to the Add Event screen.

The editor box is very simple to use, and it's features can really make your descriptions stand out. You may choose from a variety of fonts, sizes, colors, and decorations. To use the features, type out your events description. Then, highlight the words you wish to change and then click/select what you wish to do to the text. Your text will then change to reflect the control codes for the feature you selected. for instance, if you typed in the phrase "Meet with Jack about boat dock" and you selected the word Jack and clicked the bold button the text would then change to "Meet with Jack about boat dock."

Use the pull down boxes to select the date, and the times for your events. You can also choose to create a multi-day event by selecting the number of days in the Number of Days pull-down box.

Once you have that set, you are then given the option to make this a repeating event. A repeating event will post this event to multiple dates based on the options you choose. You may set events to repeat monthly, weekly, yearly, or any one of the wide range of options. You can also choose how many times to repeat, or repeat until a certain date.

The final section will allow you to color code the event display on the calendar to suit your own personal needs.

After you have everything filled in, click the "Submit Event" button. You will then be presented with a confirmation which will show which dates the event has been posted to.
